About Intern John

What started as a summer internship turned into a full-blown radio takeover for Intern John! Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, John jumped into the radio world straight out of high school. His first big break? Printing his own baseball cards to hand out at events—turns out that marketing degree did come in handy!

Now, he’s a fan-favorite on HOT 99.5, where his signature catchphrase, “My Man!”, has become a must-say for callers. John keeps it real—saying what’s on his mind (and usually what you’re thinking but won’t say out loud). Listeners love him for his quick wit, relatability, and ability to brighten even the worst Monday morning.

When he’s not on the air, John’s raising laughs and money—his three national comedy tours have raised over $25,000 for the Fisher House Foundation. He also coaches high school hockey and hosts The Thought Shower podcast with Sos three times a week.

No kids (yet), but his dog Chuy? Absolute love of his life.
